A blend of consecutive vintages of Great Wine that coexist in a 1000 lt barrel that is never completely empty. This particular method of maturation is known as Solera and each year a certain percentage of wine is removed from the barrel for bottling and is filled with wine from the new year in equal amounts.
The four numbers on the label indicate the first and last year of Mega Wine present in the bottle. Even if Solera holds on for too many years theoretically a tiny percentage of the original year will always be present in the barrel. Freshness and evolution at the same time in a full-bodied wine with excellent – textured tannins and a long finish. Practically when bottled it is at the peak of its maturity, but will remain there for at least 5-7 years.
